June 9, 2020 – City of Atlanta

The re-authorization of the Municipal Option Sales Tax (MOST), which a 1-cent tax already being paid on most goods and services in the City of Atlanta which are subject to sales tax. The MOST tax pays for billions in federally mandated sewer infrastructure which keeps water rates from being increased.

“Shall a special 1 percent sales and use tax be reimposed in the City of Atlanta for a period of time not to exceed 16 calendar quarters and for the raising of not more than Seven Hundred Fifty Million Dollars and Zero Cents ($750,000,000.00) for the purpose of funding water and sewer projects and costs?”

November 3, 2020 – Constitutional Amendment

Question 1:

Authorizes the General Assembly to provide by general law for the dedication of revenues derived from fees or taxes to the public purpose for which such fees or taxes were imposed.

“Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to authorize the General
Assembly to dedicate revenues derived from fees or taxes to the public
purpose for which such fees or taxes were intended?”
